I. We invite you to join us at the Wintonbury Coffeehouse on Saturday, September 13th, when we kick off our 2003-2004 season by welcoming acoustic duo Nate & James back to our stage. Nate Miller and James Vitray live in the Washington, D.C. area, and combine great songwriting with near-perfect harmonies. Their songs reflect their belief that all of life is a struggle and that the struggle isn't to be denied, but to be shared in the community of Christ. With two tenor voices and one guitar, comparisons of Nate & James to Simon and Garfunkel are inevitable - but also a bit misleading. This is no retro 60's duo, but a pair of 21st century guys with a fresh, modern sound of their own. Visit them on the web at www.nateandjames.com

We'll open the evening with a set from singer/songwriter and guitarist Koo Chung. Koo is a New Yorker who brings a passion to everything that he does and pours his whole heart into his music. Come help us welcome him in his first appearance at Wintonbury. You can check out his web site at www.koochung.com

The Wintonbury Coffeehouse is held on the second Saturday of the month at Wintonbury Baptist Church, 54 Maple Avenue, Bloomfield, Connecticut. Starting time is 7:30 p.m., and the doors open at 7:00. There is no charge for admission or refreshments. A $7 donation is suggested to cover expenses.

II. Audio File of the Month - " Sillyman" Nico's signature song. "If you could see Him like I see Him..."Recorded live at Wintonbury 6/14/03.

III. Link of the Month - Eunice Sim is a Boston singer-songwriter with a clear, true voice and an absolutely amazing way with words and a tune. One of the best songwriters we've heard. We look forward to hosting her at the October 11th coffeehouse.
