I. This Month's Coffeehouse - The Koo Chung Band and Reynolds Chapman

II. Audio File of the Month - "Mercy's Door" by Koo Chung

III. Link of the Month - Brooks Williams

IV. June's Coffeehouse - Tree by Leaf and Vesper

I. Join us on Saturday, August 14th to hear the acoustic pop/rock sounds of the Koo Chung Band. We've hosted Koo before, accompanied by band member Minnow Park, but this time he's coming with the whole band and it should be a real treat. Koo writes songs that connect deeply with his listeners, as he shares candidly his own personal struggles and the issues of faith and life that are most important to him. You can visit Koo on the web at www.koochung.com

We'll open the evening with a set from singer/songwriter and guitarist Reynolds Chapman. Reynolds is from southeastern Connecticut, and he can only join us in the summer as he's attending college in Pennsylvania. Reynolds writes songs with a clear-sighted view of himself and his world, and we're looking forward to his first appearance on the Wintonbury stage.

The Wintonbury Coffeehouse is held on the second Saturday of the month at Wintonbury Baptist Church, 54 Maple Avenue, Bloomfield, Connecticut. Starting time is 7:30 p.m., and the doors open at 7:00. There is no charge for admission or refreshments. A $7 donation is suggested to cover expenses.

II. Audio File of the Month - "Mercy's Door" Koo Chung reflects on forgiveness and grace. Recorded live at Wintonbury by Koo Chung and Minnow Park, September 2003.

III. Link of the Month - Brooks Williams - Brooks is scheduled for his 15th appearance at Wintonbury on Saturday, September 11. Catch up with the all-time favorite of the Wintonbury audience at his site.

IV. June's Coffeehouse - The Wintonbury Coffeehouse had a great closeout of its 2003-2004 season on June 12. Tree by Leaf and Vesper are among the finest musicians ever to grace our stage. We appreciate their hearts for God and their incredible creativity in communicating through their music. Good coffeehouse. We're full of hope for a great season of music in 2004-2005!
