Contents:

I. This Month's Coffeehouse - Nico, David Brooke

II. Audio File of the Month - no new song this month - sorry!

III. Link of the Month - Cornerstone Magazine

IV. Last Month's Coffeehouse - Maeve, Jeremy Hopkins

I. Join us on Saturday, March 12th, as we welcome Nico back to Wintonbury for a solo acoustic set. Describing himself as a "rock-funk-soul-acoustic-groove-blues-hippy-hearted-whatever" guy, Nico's music defies categories, combining styles you've never heard combined before. His lyrics dig into the stuff of everyday life: love, relationships, God, plus some things that no one else writes songs about, like power lines. He's a guy with a fresh outlook, tremendous energy, and a lot to offer to any audience. You can visit him online and hear samples of his music at www.sillyman.com

We'll open the evening with a set from David Brooke, who opened the October coffeehouse this past year. David has a maturity in the way he puts together words and tunes that is rare in someone whose high school graduation still lies ahead of him. Come out and hear the music of this very promising young songwriter with us.

The Wintonbury Coffeehouse is held on the second Saturday of the month at Wintonbury Baptist Church, 54 Maple Avenue, Bloomfield, Connecticut. Starting time is 7:30 p.m., and the doors open at 7:00. There is no charge for admission or refreshments. A $7 donation is suggested to cover expenses.

II. Audio File of the Month - We don't have a new song to post this month - hopefully Doug will have a chance to get something ready for our next newsletter.

III. Link of the Month - Cornerstone Magazine - The internet home of the classic magazine - thought provoking content backed by thorough research.

IV. Last Month's Coffeehouse - Attendance was light at the February 12 coffeehouse (about 60), and a lot of people missed some great music. Jeremy Hopkins gave us a real nice opening set, and we look forward to hosting him again in the future. Maeve, as always, was wonderful. They have some other dates scheduled in Connecticut, so if you missed them, check out their schedule at www.maevemusic.com
