I. This Month's Coffeehouse – Ryanhood and Anna Brewer

II. Link of the Month – Reasons to Believe

III. Last Month’s Coffeehouse – Maeve and Abigail Zsiga

I. Join us on Saturday, January 14th, and start the new year by welcoming Ryanhood to Wintonbury. This is a great acoustic duo – the most exciting we’ve heard since Harrod & Funck. Originally from Tucson and now based in Boston, Ryan Green and Cameron Hood are captivating audiences all over the country with their great songs, super harmonies, and their funny and likeable stage presence. Visit them on the web at www.ryanhoodmusic.com, and be sure to catch them at Wintonbury on January 14th.

We’ll open the evening with a familiar face in a new role. Anna Brewer has appeared twice on our stage as the keyboardist for Shepherd’s Pi. Now she’s coming with a solo set of her own. Come out and hear the music that this very thoughtful and talented young woman has been creating.

The Wintonbury Coffeehouse is held on the second Saturday of the month at Wintonbury Church, 54 Maple Avenue in Bloomfield. Starting time is 7:30. There is no charge for admission or refreshments, but we suggest a $7 donation to help meet expenses.

II. Link of the Month – Reasons to Believe is an organization promoting a Biblically sound and scientifically testable alternative to Darwinian evolution. It has nothing to do with music, but it’s Billie’s favorite web site. :)

III. Last Month’s Coffeehouse – In spite of all the Nutcrackers and school concerts and office parties, about 70 people turned out on December 10 to hear the music of Maeve and Abigail Zsiga. It was an evening of really delightful music enjoyed by a warm and appreciative audience.

Our apologies for the lateness of this email. In keeping with our current policy of experiencing some major upheaval every month, our home computer crashed during a power outage on January 3, and it crashed hard and loud. Doug’s been rebuilding it, trying to keep it running, and trying to recover lost data ever since. We’ve lost all of our prior emails. If you have sent us an email that we haven’t answered, please email us again.
