I. This Month's Coffeehouse - Traci Root and Robin O'Herin

II. II. Link of the Month - Michael Kelly Blanchard

III. Last Month's Coffeehouse - Tree by Leaf and Robert Messore

I. Note: Steve & Jon Rodgers will be unable to appear on November 11 as originally scheduled. We've rescheduled them to play on March 10, 2007.

Join us on November 11 for Traci Root's first performance on the Wintonbury stage. With a passionate and powerful voice and strong songwriting, Traci fuses a classic R&B sound with modern soul, jazz & hip hop flavors - even overtones of folk rock. She cites old school influences such as Stevie Wonder, Al Green and Gladys Knight, as well as the newer stylings of Alicia Keys, Joss Stone and Lauryn Hill - but her original music has a sound and style all her own. First time listeners are often amazed at the soulful song that comes from deep within. On November 11, Traci's voice will be accompanied by percussion, bass, and her own keyboards, and we're really looking forward to her appearance at Wintonbury. Visit Traci on the web at
http://www.traciroot.com

We'll open the evening with a set of traditional blues and gospel from Robin O'Herin. Robin is a fine guitarist, playing slide and fingerstyle guitar as she interprets traditional blues and gospel songs in a lovely, soulful voice. She also plays mountain dulcimer as she mixes some traditional Appalachian music into her set. Check out Robin's web site at http://www.robinoherin.com

The Wintonbury Coffeehouse is held on the second Saturday of the month at Wintonbury Church, 54 Maple Avenue in Bloomfield. Starting time is 7:30.

There is no charge for admission or refreshments, but we suggest a $7 donation this month to help meet expenses.

II. Link of the Month - Michael Kelly Blanchard - (http://www.michaelkellyblanchard.com) - Michael is truly one of Connecticut's favorite sons, with his warm stage presence and his songs of humor and wisdom. We look forward to welcoming him back to the Wintonbury stage on January 13.

III. Last Month's Coffeehouse - Tree by Leaf and Robert Messore - On October 14 at Wintonbury, Robert Messore floored the audience with an amazing opening set on solo guitar. Robert also announced that he would like to meet a "reasonably sane woman with health insurance for possible matrimony." Interested? You can contact him through his MySpace page, http://www.myspace.com/robertmessore. Tree by Leaf followed and did a great job, as they always do. We really appreciate their making the long trip down from Maine every year to share their music with us at Wintonbury.

Please visit our web site at http://www.wintonburycoffeehouse.org for a complete schedule of upcoming coffeehouses, information for musicians interested in playing at Wintonbury, and more.
