I. Join us on Saturday, March 10th, as we welcome back Steve and Jon Rodgers, the front men of the popular New Haven band Mighty Purple. These guys made their Wintonbury debut back in August, when they opened for Tom Conlon, and we can't tell you how many people have asked us to have them back. Steve and Jon are two brothers who started playing their music in high school. They've been playing for more than ten years, with and without a band, and have won fans throughout the northeast and beyond. Honesty, inventiveness, and a really appealing sound are the hallmarks of their music. Come see them for yourself on March 10. You can visit them on the web at www.mightypurple.com

Wintonbury newcomer Jake Fuller will open the evening. Jake is a young singer/songwriter with very meaningful songs and a compelling personal story. We look forward to his first appearance at Wintonbury.

The Wintonbury Coffeehouse is held on the second Saturday of the month at Wintonbury Church, 54 Maple Avenue in Bloomfield. Starting time is 7:30. There is no charge for admission or refreshments, but we suggest a $7 donation to help meet expenses.

II. Link of the Month - www.maevemusic.com - We look forward to hosting Maeve at Wintonbury again on May 12. In the meantime, visit their site and give a listen to some cuts from their new CD.

III. Last Month's Coffeehouse - A crowd of about 110 people came out on Saturday, February 10th to hear the music of Robert Fullerton & friends and Ryan Weber. They were not disappointed. Ryan played a very strong opening set, with the surprise addition of backing vocalist Beth Clements. Robert and friends gave us a masterful set of classic jazz that included guest vocalists and instrumentalists.

IV. New Popcorn Machine - The church has received the donation of a brand-new theater-style popcorn machine! Come see it in action this Saturday and enjoy some freshly-popped popcorn!
